Teaching Assistant with TEFL for substitutions or internship

We are looking for Teaching Assistants with TEFL training certification and experience working with kids aged 3-12 for substitutions in our school when necessary. The schedule would be as follows: from 9 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Full time availability is not indispensable.

Head of Studies - International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) and Spanish Bachillerato plus Leadership of Data, Progress and Achievement in the Secondary Department

The successful candidate should be an excellent classroom practitioner, have leadership experience, with knowledge of the IB DP and the Spanish Bachillerato programme. Experience of university counselling is an advantage. In addition to the Head of Studies role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and management of data collection and the tracking of progress and achievement across the secondary department. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be open and willing to undertake professional training and have a reflective attitude towards their own practice, striving for excellence in all aspects of their work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BSc) plus PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Masters level qualification

Experience

  • Teaching experience in either the IB Diploma Programme or the Spanish Bachillerato programme. Teaching experience in both programmes is an advantage.
  • Experience in the coordination of either the IB DP or Bachillerato programme. Experience of coordinating both programmes is an advantage.
  • Educational leadership experience, including responsibility for students’ academic progress and achievement.
  • Data collection and analysis of student progress and achievement.
  • Experience of university counselling is an advantage

  • Knowledge of the entry requirements of both international and Spanish universities and the application processes

Contract and Benefits

  • Permanent full-time post, with a four-month trial period.
  • Social Security paid, ensuring state medical cover
  • Moving expenses of €1.000 gross paid at the end of the first month (overseas candidates)
  • Travel expenses related to moving, up to a maximum of €250 – receipts required (overseas candidates)
  • Assistance given with settling-in administrative tasks (opening a bank account, registering with a doctor, etc.)
  • 190 working days per year
  • Christmas holidays: 2 weeks
  • Easter holidays: 10 days
  • Senior Leader summer holidays: 6 weeks
  • Local, national and school’s free choice holidays: 12 days total
  • Lunches provided free of charge

Early Years Teacher for substitutions (2021-2022)

Working conditions: Temporary contract.

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified (BEd, PGCE) native English speaker with a clear understanding of the curriculum, learning styles and assessment processes necessary for the Foundation Stage and KS1. They will be welcomed into a supportive, hardworking and very committed team who strive to provide the best learning environment for all children. The successful candidate will also be expected to have a strong understanding of ICT and a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the UK in both Key Stage1 and Foundation Stage.

They will be welcomed into a supportive, hardworking and very committed team who strive to provide the best learning environment for all children. The successful candidate will also be expected to be a good team player, have good communication and organisational skills and demonstrate initiative.

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified teacher, either with a Honours Degree and PGCE with QTS or a BEd (Hons) with QTS; be a native English speaker with a clear understanding of the English National curriculum; have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the UK; have at least 2 years KS1 experience. They will be welcomed into a supportive, hardworking and very committed team who strive to provide the best learning environment for all children.
