Maternity Cover School Psychologist – Secondary School and IB/BACHILLERATO

Oak House School has a school population of 1000+ students. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, including active listening skills and experience of conducting mediation sessions in schools and with families, providing them with advice and recommendations. The successful candidate must have post graduate qualifications in emotional disorders which are typically experienced by adolescents, be open and willing to undertake professional training and have a reflective attitude towards their own practice, striving for excellence in all aspects of their work.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Psychology
  • Post graduate qualifications in mediation, emotional therapy in areas such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, etc. (compulsory)
  • High level of English (compulsory). Castellano (compulsory) and Catalan (desirable) 

Experience:

  • +4 years experience working as a psychologist in a school or clinical setting with adolescents and their families

  • Gross monthly salary 2.057€ (if you do not work all the month, the proportional part of the days that you worked).

Key Stage 2 Teacher

Qualifications:

  • BEd or BA/BSc plus PGCE

Experience:

  • 2 years teaching experience (minimum)
  • Experience of mixed-ability classrooms and EAL needs in mainstream classes
  • International experience (desirable)

Contract and benefits:

  • Full time permanent contract, with a four month trial period.
  • Social Security paid, ensuring state medical cover
  • Moving expenses of 1.000 gross paid at the end of the first payroll (overseas candidates and it is only one payment)
  • Travel expenses up to a maximum of 250 euros – receipts required (overseas candidates).
  • Assistance given if required with: finding accommodation; registering with a doctor; official paperwork; opening a bank account.
  • 190 working days

Teaching Assistant with TEFL for substitutions or internship

We are looking for Teaching Assistants with TEFL training certification and experience working with kids aged 3-12 for substitutions in our school when necessary. The schedule would be as follows: from 9 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Full time availability is not indispensable.

Early Years Teacher for substitutions (2022-2023)

Working conditions: Temporary contract.

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified (BEd, PGCE) native English speaker with a clear understanding of the curriculum, learning styles and assessment processes necessary for the Foundation Stage and KS1. They will be welcomed into a supportive, hardworking and very committed team who strive to provide the best learning environment for all children. The successful candidate will also be expected to have a strong understanding of ICT and a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the UK in both Key Stage1 and Foundation Stage.

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified teacher, either with a Honours Degree and PGCE with QTS or a BEd (Hons) with QTS; be a native English speaker with a clear understanding of the English National curriculum; have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the UK; have at least 2 years KS1 experience. They will be welcomed into a supportive, hardworking and very committed team who strive to provide the best learning environment for all children.
