Educational Psychologist

Oak House School has a school population of 1000+ students. The successful candidate should be able to cater for English as an additional language as many of our students speak English as a second or third language. Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Psychology
  • Post graduate educational psychologist qualification (compulsory)
  • High level of English (compulsory). Castellano (compulsory) and Catalan (desirable)

 Experience: 

  • +4 years experience working as an educational psychologist in a school setting
  • Leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

To lead the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) department throughout the school.

  • Identification of pupils with SEN
  • Monitoring of diagnoses
  • Specification of support strategies for pupils with SEN (including assistive technologies)
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning for pupils with SEN and exceptionality and the effectiveness of the support provided throughout the school ( pupils aged between 3 and 18).
  • Communication with parents
  • Liaison with agencies providing support outside the school
  • Communication with staff
  • Provision of regular training and dissemination of information regarding current good practice in ALN provision
  • Innovation in the area of ALN

 

Contract and benefits:

English Language and Literature Teacher with Drama – KS3 and KS4

Oak House School has a school population of 1000+ students. The successful candidate should be able to cater for English as an additional language as many of our students speak English as a second or third language. Furthermore, the successful candidate must be open and willing to undertake professional training and have a reflective attitude towards their own practice, striving for excellence in all aspects of their work.

The successful candidate will also be required to teach drama in KS3.

Qualifications: 

  • BA English / BA English Literature and Language /BA English with drama
  • PGCE / QTS

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Key Stage 3 and 4
  • A good level of Spanish is an advantage
  • Experience of teaching drama is an advantage

English Teachers for Summer School 2022

Oak House School has a school population of 1000+ students. Once the classes are over by late June, we organise a Summer School for children 3 to 14 years old with a wide range of activities, all run fully in English.

What we are looking for…

The successful candidates should be able to cater for students with English as an additional language. Furthermore, the successful candidates must have a reflective attitude, striving for excellence in all aspects of their practice.

For Early Years:

Experience teaching in Early Years, an Early Years qualification such as a PGCE/BA/CACHE level 3 and you must have a high level of English.

For teaching English in Primary/Secondary:

TEFL / CELTA / PGCE qualification and you must have a high level of English.

Profesor/a de Filología Catalana para dar clases en Secundaria (ESO)

El candidato/a ideal debería ser un excelente profesional de las aulas, tener experiencia liderando grupos. Además, el/la candidato elegido/a debería estar abierto/a y tener predisposición a emprender una formación profesional y tener una actitud autocrítica con su propia práctica, con el fin de alcanzar la excelencia en todos los aspectos de su trabajo.

Calificaciones

  • Licenciatura Filología Catalana
  • Máster en formación del profesorado de educación secundaria obligatoria / CAP.
  • Se valorará Filología Hispánica con nivel C2 para dar catalán.

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified (BEd, PGCE) native English speaker with a clear understanding of the curriculum, learning styles and assessment processes necessary for the Foundation Stage and KS1. They will be welcomed into a supportive, hardworking and very committed team who strive to provide the best learning environment for all children. The successful candidate will also be expected to have a strong understanding of ICT and a minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the UK in both Key Stage1 and Foundation Stage.
