OAK HOUSE students have the option of participating in different exchange programmes and going on abroad school trips. These cultural exchanges offer a unique opportunity for students to improve their language ability and to develop social and emotional skills.
Cross curricular projects
1st to 3rd ESO (Years 8 to 10) pupils complete a cross curricular project in groups and extend their learning outside the classroom in residential centres.
Year 7 pupils have the opportunity of spending a week in the UK at Moorland Hall, an outdoor activity centre situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Students visit the surrounding area and take part in a wide variety of activities.
Trip to London
4th ESO (Year 11) pupils visit London and take part in art and theatre based activities, such as visiting museums, watching theatrical performances and participating in workshops.
Trip to Italy
Bachillerato and International Baccalaureate pupils go on an end-of-year trip to Italy, visiting Venice and Florence. This trip provides them with the social experience of spending a week with their classmates whilst taking part in many diﬀerent cultural activities.
A skiing trip to Andorra is organised by the school every winter, oﬀering skiing and snowboarding courses for all levels, from beginners to advanced.
Year 3 and 4 pupils spend three days in residential study centres near Barcelona. These trips help to develop a sense of comradeship between the children.
Year 3 students explore the Montseny woods and Year 4 students explore the “Parc Natural de la Garrotxa”, enjoying the beautiful landscape of the “Fageda d’en Jordà”. This trip is linked to their Geography topic of rocks and soils.
