Oak house School > ADMISSIONS

How can I get more information about the school?

May I visit the school?

We are happy to welcome new families in our group guided tours from October to May (usually on Thursdays from 9 to 11am), which focus on to the different school stages of interest: Early Years & Primary or ESO & Bachillerato/IB.

Our guided tours are an excellent opportunity to see a normal day at Oak House, to experiment its atmosphere and to see the activities that take place. In addition, attending a guided tour is an essential step to obtain a place at Oak House. During the visit you will learn all you need to know about the school such as academic aspects (curriculum, languages, certificates, etc.) and also our project as educational institution, mission and values. We encourage you to attend a guided tour and learn more about Oak House School.

Please, note that no guided tours are held during the official school breaks (Christmas, Easter and Summer Holidays).

Signing up for a guided tour

The first step to start the admission process at Oak House School is to apply for a place by filling in the online enrolment form and attaching the current and last year’s school reports. Please take into account that applications without these reports will not be considered.

In the case of families applying for a place in Nursery, the kinder garden reports –if any- can be submitted, (not compulsory).

Applying for a place

Once I have submitted the application, what are the next steps?

If there are places available for the requested school year, your application form will be considered and, if accepted, and once you have attended a guided tour, the Admissions Department will contact the family to schedule the student’s entrance exams (also available online). Once the exams are corrected, the Academic Board will consider all the documentation provided, as well as the entrance exams results, and in the case of the exams being suitable to Oak House School’s level, there will be a final meeting with the family to offer a formal place at the school.

In the case of families applying for a place in Early Years (Nursery and Reception), it is not necessary to take entrance exams; the family will be invited to a personal interview with the Academic Board.

What happens if there are no places available?

In case of no availability for the requested year we will include your application in the waiting list, and we will contact you as soon as we can offer you a place.

When do I have to submit my application?
How long does the process take?

All the applications will be considered and included into the waiting list by rigorous date of registration. Provided that we admit students during all the school year, we try to speed the process as much as possible in order to ease the incorporation of new students once the academic year has started, which usually takes around 2 / 3 weeks once the entrance exams are done.

In the case of new students applying for the following academic year, the entrance exams begin in February (aiming to start at Oak House the following September) and pupils are invited to do them according to place availability.

In the case of students applying for Bachillerato/IB, there are several admission exams announcements as of February and until July (subject to places availability).
